24A Wake Forest, N.C., man was arrested by Florida authorities for allegedly conducting a $2.7 million insurance fraud scheme in which he allegedly deceived a Highland County, Fla.-based employment services company.
Carl Delmas Fuller was charged with mail and wire fraud for allegedly scamming Avon Park, Fla.-based National Employer Services (NES) with a fake workers’ compensation insurance policy.
NES believed that it purchased required workers’ compensation coverage through a North Carolina insurance agent named David Walters, who worked for Southeast Services Inc., according to Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater.
