A Wake Forest, N.C., man was arrested by Florida authorities for allegedly conducting a $2.7 million insurance fraud scheme in which he allegedly deceived a Highland County, Fla.-based employment services company.
Carl Delmas Fuller was charged with mail and wire fraud for allegedly scamming Avon Park, Fla.-based National Employer Services (NES) with a fake workers’ compensation insurance policy.
NES believed that it purchased required workers’ compensation coverage through a North Carolina insurance agent named David Walters, who worked for Southeast Services Inc., according to Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater.

At the Ted2011 conference, the new driverless car from Google was making headlines, and Search Engine Land’s Danny Sullivan had to opportunity to test drive this new marvel. Getting the most affordable insurance rates and assurance voiture is important, especially if you are considering buying Google’s new car.
The car uses sensors and a camera to detect when and where to turn, how much to accelerate or decelerate, and when to brake. Sullivan got a wild ride when the car peeled out at high speeds, but this was just a demonstration to show that Google’s project car could easily switch to fast driving if needed.

A Maine-based company had its Pennsylvania license revoked in May for using unlicensed agents to sell supplemental health insurance policies in Pennsylvania.
Verileads LLC, based in Portland, Maine, sold about 278 supplemental health insurance polcies with National Union Fire Insurance Co. to policyholders in Pennsylvania after its initial licensing Aug. 12, 2010, according to the Pennsylvania Insurance Department.
On March 7, the company verified that it had used unlicensed producers to sell the policies, records show.
A search of the company over the Internet yielded a dead link in late June.
